Who's to Blame?
There are many people responsible for Juliet's "death". The two most responsible are Frair Lawrence and Capulet.
With Capulet saying, " She's the hopeful lady of my earth." (act 1 scene 2,15) she was very kind and understanding of her father, which is why he was giving her some of the choices of who she married but she still had to have Capulet's okay. When Tybalt was slain by Romeo, Capulet changed his mind, he was going to make Juliet marry Paris, she said "It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate (act 3 scene 5, 127). He threatened to kill her. "Hang thee, you baggage, disobedient wrench". With Capulet saying this might have pursued her "death".
Frair Lawrence might have something to do with her "death" also. He kept making the plan sound perfect and how nothing would go wrong. " And this shall free thee from thy present shame" (act 4, scene 1, 120). Like, Romeo will come and kiss you then you will wake and since he woke you, he will be allowed to stay in Verona and everything will work out. It is probably good that Juliet thought of all the things that could go wrong so she would know what she was getting herself into.
Maybe they could have lived, but then there would be no story to tell.
